Triskell Bakery's Discovering the Art of making French Croissants:
Join us for a three hour class to learn how to make authentic French croissants from scratch.
Alain Marec, your instructor and founder of Triskell Bakery, is a French-born food scientist and home baker who will teach you how to create delicious French croissants and pains au chocolat.
During the class, you will create your own croissants and go through all the steps including: making the détrempe (croissant dough), beurre de tourrage (butter block), laminating, learning and practicing the folding techniques, dividing the dough and shaping and baking your croissants at home.
While the process is 2 days long, Alain will start the precess early so that we will be able to explore and practice every step.
Students will go home with:
- A small box of medium sized croissants/pains au chocolat baked during the class.
- A small batch of croissants and pains au chocolat that they will have personally shaped during the class to bake at home the next day.
- A hand out of the presentation given in class and your instructor's contact information for troubleshooting.
- A new hobby and bragging rights….
