Discovering the Healthy Self: Building Skills for Recovery is a 6-week online program for Victorian residents in
recovery over the age of 18.
In this online program, you will have the opportunity to explore a variety of topics in a group setting. Over six weeks, you can expect a balance of education, reflection and discussion each week to support you in your recovery
journey, with a participant guide and additional resources provided throughout the program.

Mental health and Recovery
Self-care, Coping Skills and Building Routines
Stigma, Self-Advocacy & Communication
Connection & Compassion
Challenging appearance ideals

Monday evenings, from 5:30pm - 7:00pmÂ
Session 1: Monday 21st October
Session 2: Monday 28th October
Session 3: Monday 4th November
Session 4: Monday 11th November
Session 5: Monday 18th November

Cost:Â Free to attend!
Participation: You are welcome to participate in a way that feels comfortable for you, and we will do our best to create a supportive space for sharing and discussion. If you have any concerns about participating in this program please contact us at education@eatingdisorders.org.au to discuss.
Who:Â This program is for anyone over the age of 18 with an eating disorder who is navigating recovery, including Binge Eating Disorder, Bulimia Nervosa, Anorexia Nervosa, OSFED, ARFID and Orthorexia. Please note that due to funding requirements, we can only provide this program to residents of Victoria.
Your facilitators:
Emilie - Senior Education Officer
Emilie has worked within mental health services for twelve years with both adults and children both in the United Kingdom and Australia. Emilie is passionate about the importance of meaningful connection in her work and personal life, which was paramount in her own recovery of a severe and enduring eating disorder, and continues to be one of her core values.Â
Abbey - Education Officer
Abbey has a background in public health and health promotion, and has worked in the mental health space for over four years. Through experiencing and recovering from an eating disorder, Abbey realised her passion for raising awareness in the community about eating disorders and other mental health conditions, and is proud to be part of the EDV team. Â
