Dithyramb
Event description
Dithyramb derives its name from ancient hymns of Dionysian reverence. A moment of ecstatic revelry, a ritualistic access to the sublime, a slit through which the chaos beneath reality pours out.
In symbiosis with the fervent energy imbued in the walls of the club space, Dithyramb presents art in situ with the spirit of ecstasy, excess, spontaneity, and transcendence. For a single night opening, ephemeral encounters with art offer a contemporary rite that resonates with ancient tradition while speaking to the complexities and contradictions of our ordered existence. The works embody the ecstatic unleashed, born of becoming and perishing, creation and destruction.
Join us after the exhibition viewing for Dithyramb: Anno Domini. From 10pm, the installation will be activated, restoring the energy of the space as we descend into an entropic club night, guided by local conductors of chaos Yage, Imitation Therapy and LE2.
