Diverse City book reading for Disability Book Week

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

VALID presents Diverse City, a freshly published anthology that captures writings and artworks from community members across the wide and diverse disability spectrum. The book contains over 150 stories, poems and art works from an eclectic selection of artists, including those with cognitive disabilities. "This anthology is a breath of fresh air," states Andy Jackson, winner of the 2022 Prime Minister's Literary Award for Poetry... "writing that is refreshingly original and disarmingly intimate."

We invite you to celebrate Disability Book Week at a reading event where Diverse City contributing artists will read and share some of their stories from the book, followed by a Q and A session.
