    Event description

Welcome to the transformative Leadership Dynamics Workshop, where you and your canine companion embark on an immersive journey aimed at fortifying your bond and cultivating a balanced leadership dynamic. At the heart of this enlightening experience lie the three fundamental pillars of effective leadership: Connection, Guidance, and Fulfilment. Understanding and mastering these pillars is paramount, as they serve as the cornerstone for your dog to perceive you as a reliable and trustworthy leader. Furthermore, working in synergy they will profoundly deepen the connection you share with your dog. It’s imperative to recognise that behaviour problems often stem from an imbalanced leadership dynamic, poor communication, and unmet needs. By learning how to create a healthy leadership dynamic and fostering a deeper connection, you can effectively temper unwanted behaviors and pave the way for a harmonious relationship filled with understanding and mutual respect. Join us on this enriching journey and unlock the keys to becoming the most influential leader for your cherished companion.

Connection Beyond the Physical: Dogs possess an extraordinary sensitivity to our emotions beyond mere physical gestures, making it crucial to understand how your own state of mind can significantly shape your dog’s behaviour. Throughout the workshop, you’ll delve into techniques designed to enhance your awareness of presence and master the power of breath as an effective means to regulate your emotional energy. By doing so, you’ll gain insights into your ability to connect with your dog and to exert a positive influence over your dog’s energy and emotional state. This heightened understanding of connecting beyond the physical not only deepens the bond between you and your dog but also fosters a harmonious connection built on mutual empathy and resonance.

Clear and Consistent Communication: Understanding how your dog thinks and learns is key to effective communication. By gaining insights into your dog’s perspective and interpreting their world, you’ll be equipped to respond to their behaviors in a language they understand. Clarity and consistency in your expectations will alleviate confusion and anxiety in your dog, enabling them to relax and trust your guidance. Through calm, confident and decisive communication, you’ll establish yourself as a reliable leader in your dog’s eyes, fostering a bond built on trust and mutual understanding.

Genetic Fulfilment: Recognising and honouring the instinctual needs of our canine companions is crucial for their overall well-being and happiness. While humans often rely on dogs to fulfil various emotional and companionship needs, how often do we consider if we are doing what we can to meet their needs in return. Rather than projecting our desires onto them, prioritising opportunities for dogs to express their natural behaviours should be a key consideration. This means engaging with them in activities that tap into their instincts, providing mental stimulation, and serving as outlets for pent-up energy and emotion.

When our dogs needs for genetic fulfillment are not met, it can lead to behaviour problems as the dog searches for a release in its immediate environment. Unfulfilled instincts may manifest in destructive behaviours, reactivity and excessive barking as the dog seeks outlets for its energy and emotions. Moreover, if a dog is suppressed from engaging in these activities, it could lead to discontent and even depression. Therefore, by prioritising the fulfilment of our dogs’ needs and offering opportunities for them to express themselves as animals, we nurture happier and more fulfilled companions.

During this work shop you will learn engaging scent work activity and a specialised system of play tailored to mimic their natural behaviours. This will not only provide mental stimulation but also serve as vital outlets for energy release. You will also learn how to establish rules and boundaries within these activities which will re-enforce your leadership whilst simultaneously  deepening the bond between you. Actively engaging with your dog in these activities creates a shared experience of team work and achievement which will deepen your connection.
