UPDATE:

Next Wave and ACFA have made the decision not to proceed with our Divestment Dinner.

HOWEVER, we are excited to announce that ACFA will be setting up at Next Wave (Brunswick Mechanics Institute) for a series of FREE Divestment Drop-in sessions!

To be held on Thursdays throughout June, we’re inviting artist and arts workers to join us for a hot drink and cake, learn about divesting and about more ways to join in on climate-focused work in the arts.

We’re excited to test this new format for building a community of climate-concerned artists and arts workers in Brunswick and beyond.

A Climate For Art (ACFA) invites you to join their next Divestment Dinner, delivered in collaboration with Next Wave.

Divestment Dinners are a time to break bread with peers and break ties with superannuation funds that don’t put our collective futures first.

Bring your laptop, phone, or tablet, and shift superannuation funds to a fund that does not invest in fossil fuels. If you’ve been putting off this life admin for sometime now, this is the perfect event for you. Not only do you get to meet other artists engaged or interested in climate action building connections together, but you get fed and get to tick that pesky task off your to-do list!

Tickets include a dinner prepared by Palestinian Chef Aheda

About A Climate For Art
A Climate For Art
(ACFA) is a campaign that unifies the arts around the issue of our changing climate through divestment practices and community building. ACFA sees the climate crisis as a cultural crisis that requires a cultural response.

With a focus on financed emissions – banking and superannuation – ACFA is focused on collectivising our response through tangible actions, as well as growing critical climate dialogues through a community of practice, built from an ongoing series of events, creative projects and gatherings.
