Diwali Festival of Lights – Saturday, 14th December 2024
Join us at Lawson Field Theatre in Gisborne and around Marina Park for a vibrant celebration of Diwali starting at 4 PM! Enjoy a variety of free activities including delicious food, bouncy castles, craft workshops, henna art, and rangoli design. Live music will be provided by the Gisborne Sargam Group and DJ Tee. No registration is needed for this part of the event.
At 6:45 PM, those registered for the cultural performances will move into the theatre area, where Hon Dana Kirkpatrick and Mayor Rehette Stoltz will officially open the festivities. The highlight of the evening will be a performance by the Garagewalas from Auckland, who are well-known from the Auckland Diwali celebrations and NZ's Got Talent.
