Worship Queer Collective presents… DIWALICIOUS 2023: DRAG, DANCE & DINNER!

 🪔 Diwali/Deepavali is an exciting time for many in the South Asian community and we want to celebrate the Festival of Lights with all our lovely LGBTQI+ South Asian fam, Queers, friends and allies!

Taking place on 10th & 11th Nov 2023, join us for a cabaret style night of fun. You'll get a THREE COURSE meal while watching performances by some of Sydney/Canberra's best Queer and Trans Desi talent 🔥

🪔 Hosted and curated by Manish Interest, our cast of 100% Queer South Asian Excellence includes performance art by Mara Maya Devi, comedians Ru Halwala (Scary Strangers) and Rochelle, dholi artist Priya, show stopping performance by Sydney Bollywood and South Asian remixes by DJ Thaen Girl.

🪔 FOOD: Tickets include food by guest caterer, Nate's Kitchen: Home-cooked, family-owned, Indian-Singaporean caterer based in Sydney's Inner West.

Single ticket:

Entrée: Sweet Paniharam (vg,gluten free), Vada (vegan, Df), Mixed Deepavali snacks

Mains: Served with Briyani Rice w/ Pineapple & Cucumber salad, Papadam

Select one of the following at checkout: 

1. Chicken Masala : (gf, df) & Fish cutlet: (Gf, Df, Nut free) 

2. Vegan Fish curry and Potato cutlets

Dessert: Crispy dosa w/ caramelised banana & home made vegan butterscotch; and Sago, Indian vermicelli milk pudding with fresh fruits on the side

*Vegan option: Sweet lentil pudding (df, gf)

Table for Four:

Banquet menu for 4 people with chicken masala, fish cutlet, vegan fish curry. Recommended for sharing and for larger groups so you can be seated together.

6.30pm: Doors open

7.00pm: Shows and food served (90 min show w/ intermissions)

8.30pm: Guest DJ *bar remains open

9.30pm: Finish

✨ DIWALICIOUS will be held on Gadigal and Wangal land. We would like to acknowledge the Gadigal and Wangal people as the traditional custodians of this land and pay our respects to elders past and present. Always was, always will be, aboriginal land.

✨ DIWALICIOUS has an all Queer/Trans South Asian lineup. This is an inclusive, safe space for Queer Asians, QTBIPOC, friends and allies. Our crew members are available all night if you have any concerns.
