DIY Fungi foray
Event description
Contribute to the City Nature Challenge by recording the fungi species in the Sanctuary!
Book in a time to borrow a Fungi Foray kit and create observations of the species you find within the Sanctuary on the iNaturalist app. No experience is required!
1. Download the iNaturalist app
2. Create an account
3. Take photos of fungi following the instructions in the kit
4. Upload your photos to make an "observation"
5. AI and experts will identify the fungi you have found
The observations you make provide valuable data to the Sanctuary and other land managers. Take a look at our iNaturalist place to see the species previously recorded in the Sanctuary.
Note: This event is unguided. The Fungi foray kits contain sharps so you must be over 18yrs OR have someone over this age collect observations with you in order to borrow a kit. Kits must not leave the Sanctuary.
