DIY Paint-making with Sheree Martin
A hands-on experience transforming plant material and minerals into a natural colour paint palette.
Thursday 25th November
6.30pm - 8.30pm
$55 / $41
Learn how to make your own paint! The paint you will take home is all natural and safe for you and your kids to enjoy.
The schedule for the session is as follows
- Choose your plant and mineral materials
- Learn how to prepare for pigment making, includes cutting, drying, grinding
- Mixing the pigments and combining with binders
- Testing out the pigment colours
- Exploring and creating with your handmade paint/dye/ink to create an artwork
WHAT YOU'll GET
- Knowledge of what and how to make your own pure paints at home
- An opportunity to learn from a professional local artist who specialises in natural art-making
- A playful experience creating an artwork to take home
- New connections with other creatives
WHAT TO BRING
- Apron/old shirt, or clothes you don't mind getting dirty
- Notebook and pen to take notes
- 4 empty jars for paint samples to take home (we will have some if you are unable to bring your own)
