Are you looking for healthy and eco-friendly skincare products? Join us for this DIY Skincare Workshop and learn to create your own 100% natural products with Mademoiselle Organic! 

You’ll be making four super easy ‘instant recipes’ by mixing a few ingredients in your hands, including a make-up remover, a face serum and two types of scrubs.

This workshop is for young people aged 14 - 25. 

Participants under the age of 18 must have their parent/guardian complete this registration form and an emergency contact must be provided.

This is a Brimbank Youth Fest 2024 event.

About Mademoiselle Organic

Lily (@mlleorganic) is a natural and DIY beauty coach. In her workshops, online courses and blog, she teaches how to use organic ingredients instead of harsh and polluting chemicals. All her workshops are vegan and inclusive.

How do I get there?
Kororoit Creek Neighbourhood House is located on the edge of Selwyn Park at:

Train
Albion Station on the Sunbury line is a 17 minute walk from the venue.
Bus Routes
  • 400, 422, 427 stopping at 72 Forrest St is an 8 minute walk
  • 426, 456 stopping at King Edward Ave/Sydney St is a 13 minute walk
  • 215, 426, 456 stopping at Perth Ave/Ballarat Rd is an 11 minute walk, but please note this is a busy main road

Is there parking at the venue?
General free parking is available at the end of Selwyn St, in the car park located between Albion Tennis Club and the venue. If utilising nearby street parking, please check for any parking restriction signs. 

What should I wear?
We suggest wearing clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit dirty, or bring an apron. 

Do I need to bring anything?
Optional: Bring your own makeup to test the makeup remover. There will be some available at the workshop too.

What ingredients will be used? 

  • Organic Jojoba Oil (pure)
  • Organic Aloe Vera gel (Aloe Vera (Aloe Barbadensis) Leaf Juice, Vegetable Glycerine, Carrageenan Extract, Natural Preservative)
  • Pure bamboo powder
  • Pure Jojoba beads
  • Pure Walnut shell ground powder

Can I participate if I have allergies?
If you have a nut allergy or other allergies, you may not wish to attend this workshop as walnut shell ground powder will be used. If you do have allergies and choose to attend, please bring accommodating items, such as EpiPens. 

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
The venue is wheelchair accessible from the front entrance off Selwyn Street and via the rear entry through the community garden from Selwyn Park. There is an accessible bathroom on site. There is no specific accessible parking.

Who can I talk to about my access or support needs?
Please contact the Waste Education Officer via environment@brimbank.vic.gov.au. Support persons are welcome to attend.
