DJ 101: Serato with DJ Kidd Benny

This workshop will be facilitated by DJ Kidd Benny. There will be 2 sessions each session will cover the same content, they are not a series.

Tuesday 20 May and Tuesday 27 May

This free workshop will take beginners through the basics of DJing using Serato software and Pioneer CDJ 2000s, exploring hip-hop DJing techniques. DJ Kidd Benny will walk you through the process of song selection, blending, transitions, and working with stems in Serato to build exciting and dynamic DJ performances.

These workshops focus on the social and collaborative aspect of music-making. We're inviting folks to come and explore DJing, ask questions and get their hands on DJ equipment in a social and relaxed learning environment.

These workshops are for folks aged 18+

Sound School & Ecstatic Mob are teaming up to host a series of free Audio and Visual workshop programs, sharing skills in music production, recording, DJing, VJing, live coding, OBS broadcasting software and modular synthesis. These programs will be hosted at Footscray Community Arts. The workshop series will run weekday evenings 7pm-9pm from mid April to June, 2025.
