WHO ARE THE CHARACTERS IN THE STORY?

Dwert the Dingo: A curious and playful dingo who loves music and listening to his mum’s lullaby in the night sky. Dwert can feel unsure of himself, but he learns that his voice and kindness help keep the stars shining.

Weitj the Emu: A loyal and thoughtful emu who wants to help save the stars. Sometimes he gets distracted or upset, but he learns to stay focused, be brave, and listen to his heart.

Wardong the Crow: An expressive and emotional crow who cares deeply about stories and memories. Wardong shows courage by helping others look up and remember the stars.

Meeka the Moon: The Moon who holds up the sky and watches over the stars. Meeka grows tired as darkness spreads, but she guides the animals and reminds them that music and teamwork keep the world strong.

Wirnitj (The Dark Nothing): A dark cloud that grows when people argue, forget stories, or stop paying attention. Wirnitj weakens the stars and disappears when people sing, share, and work together.

Mariana (One of the Seven Sisters – Spain): A brave flamenco dancer who shares her star story through dance. She teaches that being kind and sharing with others makes us stronger.

Sadalsuud the Giant: A lonely giant who is mean because he wants friends. He learns that being kind is the best way to make friends and that it’s okay to ask for help.

Auburn Mary (Eldest of the Seven Sisters – Scotland): A gentle star who becomes hard to see when people stop looking up. She regains her strength when people remember to look at the sky and believe again.

Prince Bruce / Lady Bruce / Farmer Bruce: Different versions of the same human character. They show how sadness and distraction can stop people from noticing the stars, and how looking up can bring joy back.

Arundthati (Youngest of the Seven Sisters – India): A creative singer who loses confidence after being bullied. With support from Dwert, she finds her voice again and helps bring the stars back.

Agni: A fiery trickster who is jealous of others’ creativity. He is clever but unkind and is defeated when others stay calm and work together.

Njarri Jaari (Bush Onion): A stubborn character who learns that sharing and cooperation are more important than being right.

Wallu Bungu (Fire): A caring and practical character who values sharing, teamwork, and helping others.
