Sustainable House Day is an event from Renew that provides the opportunity to explore some of Australia’s most inspiring homes, and learn from the people who designed them, built them, and live in them.

Please note that you will need to book in to a specific tour time, and if you do not arrive at this time you will not be able to tour the home. This is due to capacity restraints set by the homeowner to ensure the safety of all parties on the day.

You will be sent the address in the days before the event.

About this home

The owners of this 1970s suburban Perth home want to live in their home of 28 years comfortably and securely as they age. Given Perth’s changing climate, new ceiling insulation, an evaporative air conditioner throughout, shade sails and a growing garden provide respite from the heat. With no more gas facilities, and an added EV and Tesla Power Wall, this suburban home now provides a modest but meaningful impact on the health and wellbeing of its inhabitants

Notes from the homeowner

"Please consider others when you park, as there are limited parking spaces onsite."
