Dog-Eared Reading
Description
Where has this year gone? It's October already, and here at Dog-Eared HQ we’re finishing our 2026 program with a bang.
Your generosity at the door has once again paid dividends with your support allowing us to jet our featured writer over from Sydney. We are thrilled to welcome the phenomenal Fiona Wright, award-winning essayist (Small Acts of Disappearance, The World was Whole) poet (Knuckled, Domestic Interior) and novelist (Kill Your Boomers). Fiona will be in conversation with the similarly impressive essayist and poet Gemma Parker, making this a session not to be missed! They will be joined by one of Dog-Eared's favourite interviewers Katerina Bryant (Hysteria: A Memoir of Illness, Strength and Women’s Stories Throughout History) who we are very excited to see step into the spotlight with her new work. And to top off this unbelievable line-up we have local superstar Steve Brock (Out of Season, Live at Mr Jake’s, Double Glaze) who has recently launched his third book of poetry.
October sees Dog-Eared Readings back to our regular haunt and schedule - so please join us on Thursday October 22 at The Monocle at The Howling Owl (Vaughn Place, Adelaide) 6.30 for a 7pm start.
