‘Dog Movie’ & ‘Dreams of Sunlight Through Trees’: Screening + Q&A
Event description
Our New Trans Cinemas series continues with two pared-down and deeply personal works exploring the uncertainties, discomforts and joys of trans quotidian life and relationships.
In Dreams of Sunlight Through Trees (2024), middle-aged Theo documents life after starting hormones, as ongoing news headlines continue to underline and undermine trans rights.
In Henry Hanson’s delightfully awkward comedy, Dog Movie (2023), a passive-aggressive tenderqueer couple sends their household into a quiet tailspin when they adopt an elderly dog with the same name as the unemployed couch surfer they just can’t seem to confront.
Doors open: 6pm
Screenings begin: 6:15pm
