Doing Business Differently

Having the courage to do business differently and re-write the book is the essence of what we stand for at The Belle Evolution.

And this month we talk to two incredible women who have done exactly that.

Meet Jools. Owner and founder of Haus of Jools. Chances are, if you are from Brisbane you have seen this woman and her gorgeous smile before. She seems to be everywhere doing amazing things.

She has built an incredibly successful brand for herself and her hair salon... in a totally unique way. She is unapologetically different in all she does and her marketing oozes authenticity, expertise and fierce passion for what she does.

Scaling a business based on yourself and your skills, is hard. Very hard. So we are going to pick Jool's brain on where she got her confidence from and how she did exactly this while remaining so authentic every step of the way.

Next, meet Renee from Renee Love Frances. One of Brisbane's most loved and recognised clothing labels. Designing everything from scratch from her home studio in Brisbane, this incredible lady challenges so many things considered normal in the fashion industry and tackles them head on.

She puts being a good human at the forefront of her business. She unapologetically asks people to pay for quality and ethically made clothing. She has developed a style and aesthetic that is authentically her. She has gone from a brick and mortar store to an online business. She fights for inclusivity. She thrives by focusing on positive relationships in business... (can you tell I could rave about her all day?) and we are going to learn how she did all of the above and more.

This month we are also doing Belle Bestie! After much talk around how women who need this space most, are the most unlikely to buy a ticket and put themselves out there, April's initiative is going to help that. We are asking our current event lovers to reach out to a friend, colleague, associate or connection and invite them along, even consider spotting them a ticket with our discounted package. Everyone who does will go into the draw to win one of our yearly ticket packages!

Jools and Renee are besties so it could not be more fitting! Every month we see businesses in our network thriving because of the power of positive relationships, so Belle's, I need your help. Bring a friend this April so we can help more women connect, collaborate and party with us.

For those who have not been to an event before, here is what you need to know.

• We have an anti loner policy. If you are coming alone one of our team will discreetly introduce you to some people so you are not left standing in a corner awkwardly staring at your shoes. We got you.
• We like food. There will be plenty and it will be delicious.
• A glass of wine is included in your ticket and then there is a cash bar for those who need more... so basically anyone who owns a business.
• This is not an awkward salesy event. Anyone trying to sell you a MLM scheme or shamelessly trying to promote themselves is not our people.
• It is a darn good party. We won't give too many of our secrets away but expect to have fun!
• We are about intentional conversation. No surface level small talk. We are focused on learning what we need to do to uplevel our business.
• We attract some of Brisbane's most epic business women.. in my humble but clearly right opinion.
• There are no cliques
