Domestic and Family Violence Conference 2026
Description
The DFV 2026 Conference is a landmark community‑led event dedicated to strengthening safety, prevention, and culturally responsive support within South Sudanese communities in Victoria. Delivered by the Centre for Migrant and Refugee Health (CMRH) and the Sudanese Mothers’ Coalition in Victoria (SMCV), and supported by JAMAA (CMY), this conference brings together leading organisations, researchers, community advocates, and frontline practitioners to address domestic and family violence through culturally grounded, evidence‑informed approaches.
What makes this event special is its strong partnership model—uniting The Orange Door, Africause, the African Think Tank, Victoria University, VicPol, and the South Sudanese Community Association in Victoria. Together, they create a powerful platform for dialogue, learning, and action. Attendees will gain practical strategies, community insights, and collaborative opportunities to improve the safety and wellbeing of women, children, and families.
