    Event description

More than smoking and obesity, domestic and family violence is the leading cause of preventable death, disability, and illness in women aged 15 to 44 years. 15 to 44 year old women make up more than 10,000 of our Division 9 residents. On average, one woman per week is killed in Australia by a man.

We would like to encourage members of our community who want to do something about this to come along to our free 3 hour session to learn about how to be a better bystander in difficult situations, and what you can do to help. We will provide a free supper.

Our trainers are all part of the Division 9 community - police officers, paramedics, professionals, Neighbourhood Watch leaders, and church leaders.

Please arrive at 5:30pm at Mudgeeraba Community Centre Hall 2 (at the back of the building).
