Domestic Violence 101: How to Spot it and Then What?
Event description
This free, half-day event provides education about domestic violence and what community members and professionals can do once they have identified domestic violence.
This event will feature education from local domestic violence service provider, Remedies Renewing Lives, and also feature a panel made up of community professionals including the YWCA Northwestern Illinois, Foundations, and Attorney and Guardian ad Litem, Peggy Gerkin.
Light breakfast and refreshments will be provided.
Continuing education units will be applied for for attorneys, CDVPs, Social Workers, Counselors. CEUs pending approval for cosmetologists and others seeking CEUs through the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation.
This program is funded in part or in whole by the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority. Refreshments are not provided through ICJIA funding.
