Event description

"The traitor means deceit! His flatt'ry heed thou not, while yet there's time, retreat, or woe befall thee." - Donna Elvira, Act I

Don Giovanni is commonly regarded as one of Mozart's greatest operas, if not one of the greatest operas of all time. Da Ponte and Mozart based their story on an old Spanish legend about a philanderer who met his demise due to his own pride.

Concordia Ensemble's much anticipated interpretation of this work will be lightly abridged to two hours to better support the capabilities of the young cast. Featuring a number of young emerging opera singers, this interpretation of the opera is not to be missed.

Concordia Ensemble will stage this performance as a piano rehearsal on August 13th (3.30pm and 7.30pm) and August 19th as a fully staged work in collaboration with Sydney Concert Orchestra on August 19th (3.30pm and 7.30pm).

Cast to be announced soon
