Don't Forget Me Cobber by Jenny Davis
Event description
DON’T FORGET ME COBBER by Jenny Davis and Directed by Stuart Halusz follows the story of three young West Australian soldiers and a young VAD nurse from Albany, during their service at Gallipoli and in France during WWI. The horrors and dangers of combat changes their lives and tests them sorely, but camaraderie and humour, friendship, love and hope aid the survivors. The characters are fictional, but the play is written entirely from real letters and accounts, a testament to a generation that endured so much.
DON'T FORGET ME COBBER is part of THEATRE 180's Albany 2026 project called OUR PLACE: RAIN OR SHINE. THEATRE 180 is honoured to be among the 7 Major Event Program projects as part of Albany 2026, led by The City of Albany thanks to a generous grant from Major Supporter, Lotterywest.
