Albert couldn’t keep a woman happy if his life depended on it. Now it actually might.

Saskia is the best thing that’s ever happened to him. There’s just one problem. Ever since she was young, anyone who’s seriously upset her has ended up dead.

Illnesses. Car accidents. Sudden heart attacks.

‘Obviously it’s just a coincidence,’ she says, ‘and it won’t matter for you anyway, will it? Because you’re lovely and you won’t upset me.’

If she was trying to reassure him, it didn’t work.

How would you behave if you thought keeping your partner happy was a matter of life and death?
