LET THE ART TAKE OVER!

Donald James Waters OAM will be coming to Perth in May to teach a 2 day workshop. This workshop is targetted at artists and art enthusiasts, please note this is not a copy the artist workshop. This Discover and Embrace the Unknown Acrylics/Charcoal workshop is where you will learn techniques, fine tune your skills, and enhance your art pratice. An oportunity not to be missed. The workshop runs on Sunday 19th and Monday 20th May 2024. Each day runs from 9am - 4pm. (You can sign up for the two day course or attend one day only)

Don's career has taken his art to every corner of the globe and his distinctive style has made its way to many private and corporate collectors alike, including that of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's art collection.

Dons workshop involves creating your own imaginative piece by learning how to master your independence, creativity and freedom as a painter, using reference photos as a guide to the overall outcome of the work. Don focuses on guiding you to look beyond the reference photo and use your imagination to create balance in a figurative painting with an abstracted perspective. Don will guide you through your painting to teach you the qualities of colour, tones and composition over 2 days.

Discussion is encouraged throughout the workshop on composition and balance, working with spontaneity to give your paintings freedom, movement, and emotion!
