River Muse: Art Along the Conestoga (River Arts Series)

Join the Conestoga River Club and artist Dorothy Frey for another event of CRC's new River Arts Series.

Enjoy a relaxed approach to painting and drawing in the warm September sun along the Conestoga River at Millersville University. Participants will set out along the river by the campus nature preserve to capture their inspiration on paper and canvas.

Dorothy Frey grew up on a farm in Lancaster County, PA. She received her BFA from Millersville University and her MFA from American University in Corciano, Italy and Washington DC, studying painting, drawing, art history, and printmaking.  Dorothy’s work explores the connection between memory, place, and personal history through intimate depictions of home living spaces, still life arrangements, and landscapes from her family farm. Dorothy is an Associate Professor of Art at Millersville University. She is represented by Bowery Gallery in New York. Her work has also been included in shows at the Demuth Museum and Lancaster Galleries in Lancaster, PA; Art at Kings Oaks, Newtown, PA; and Gross McCleaf Gallery in Philadelphia, PA.
