After a sell-out season in Sydney Festival, Dorr-e Dari is coming home to Fairfield.

Switch off the dating apps, forget the nightclubs and tune in to a thousand-year strong tradition of courtly Persian love poetry.

Through intimate storytelling and epic ballads from the streets of Kabul, Tehran and Quetta, via Western Sydney, your hosts Bibi, Jawad and Mahdi will guide you on the path to love.

Inspired by the tradition of private recitals and ‘curtain shows’ performed all through the Persian-speaking world, this rich and tender new theatre work will show you there’s a verse for every condition of the heart.

General admission tickets $30.00 plus booking fee.

Concession, student and community tickets $22.00 plus booking fee.

Venue

The Fairfield School of Arts is located at 19 Harris Street, Fairfield NSW 2165.

The distance to Fairfield train station is 350 metres, a 5 minute walk.

There is parking in surrounding streets and in Downey Lane Car Park.

COVID Safety

Your safety and the safety of the community is important to us.

PYT Fairfield has a COVID Safety Plan and will follow all regulations and restrictions at the time of performance. As the situation is always changing we recommend you check this information again at the time of your event.

Please stay home if you are unwell or are awaiting the results of a COVID test.

In accordance with NSW Health, it is a requirement that all patrons aged 16+ have received two doses of a COVID-19 Vaccination prior to entry. Proof of vaccination status or valid written medical exemption will be required at entry to PYT. Patrons under the age of 16 are welcome to attend, however if they are not fully vaccinated they must be accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult from their household.

Face masks are mandatory at all times in the theatre for all patrons aged 12 and over except those with a valid medical exemption.

Please practice safe hygiene and keep socially distanced.
