This is a double bill featuring the Blues Preachers and the Narrownecks.
The Blues Preachers have secured a reputation as one of the best acoustic blues and roots acts in Australia. They will take you to another place and time, somewhere between 1920 and 1940, performing a fusion of good old blues, rags, gospel and hillbilly folk. Driving finger-style and slide-guitar combined with tasteful harmonica and old-school vocal harmonies create a traditional sound that will have you on the edge of your seats.
The Blues Preachers are Brother John (John Morris) on guitar, banjo, and vocals, and Captain Bluetongue (Craig Lyons) on harmonica, mountain dulcimer, and vocals

The Narrownecks are an old time string band. With fiddle, clawhammer banjo, finger-style guitar and cello, they show their American old time roots, and you can be sure of lots of danceable tunes and a great concert.
Fiddler David Hoffmann (USA) is a multi-generation old time musician, and has been surrounded by the music of the Appalachian mountains since he was in the womb.
Clawhammer banjo player Harry O'Donovan (CHW) has brought a love for Indian and world music to the folk scene, and incorporates his traditional frailing banjo style and exceptional ear to fill out the melodies.
Brother John (also of The Blues Preachers) is one of Australia's leading finger-style and blues guitarists. His solid rhythms and guitar mastery hold down the bottom end.
Cellist Jack Ward (The Penny Quartet, Australian Chamber Orchestra emerging artist 2017) brings a lifetime of classical training and adds an element of virtuosity to help fill out this unique sound.
Whether stomping along to a traditional 19th century fiddle tune, or humming along to a three part vocal harmony, the Narrownecks are sure to keep you coming back for more.
