Double Vision - Free Lunchtime Concert

Formed in 2025, Double Vision is a folk duo composed of Songwriters Asha Clarkson and Ciaran McKinven. The product of a long friendship- and the mutual love of artists such as Bob Dylan, MJ Lenderman and Waxahatchee- what started as a summer busking project quickly grew into a fully fledged musical project. 

Double Vision’s sound comes from a simultaneously distinct and shared musical heritage from each individual member.

Ciaran McKinven’s sonic palette is informed by his study of Classical guitar, alongside other genres such as Rock, Jazz, and Folk- having composed and performed across his career all of these various styles of music.

Asha Clarkson is driven by emotive storytelling and indie/folk genres. Having worked in a wide area of genres Clarkson distils these influences and energy into Double Vision.

Together, McKinven and Clarkson have established a unique and widely praised sonic and emotional voice within the alternative music scene in Scotland and beyond. Through their gigs in Cities such as Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Manchester, they have moved audiences with emotive storytelling, tight vocal harmonies and melody-driven alt-folk songwriting.

Make It Yourself is Pianodrome's brand new festival — a five day celebration of DIY culture, creativity and local community, running during October half term from 14th–18th October 2026 at Pianodrome Bruntsfield Community Hub.

Supported by the Edinburgh Council Local Events Fund, this hyper-local festival brings together makers, musicians, artists and community organisations for five days of workshops, live music, art exhibitions and open mic performances, all rooted in our core ethos of upcycling, innovation and working together.

Free Entry, By Donation

We think it's important to offer free music and culture to all. The acts for these shows are always paid and we rely on donations on the day to maintain our free shows. Suggested donation is £10, though any amount is welcome! :)

Location

Pianodrome Bruntsfield is at The St.Oswald's Center at 41 Montpelier Park, Bruntsfield, Edinburgh EH10 4NB, just parallel to the main street and next to the primary school. It has an accessible entrance and an accessible toilet. Please get in touch if there is anything else you'd like to ask or tell us prior to your visit.

Accessibility

There is ramped access to the main hall of the Pianodrome. We have an accessible toilet and space for wheelchairs. Most of our performances are relaxed performances. If you have any access requirements please feel free to email us at boxoffice@pianodrome.org.
