Event description
Bryan Crump and the Doubtful Sounds are back in November!
If you love songs by Straitjacket Fits, The Beths, Don McGlashan, ABBA , Joni Mitchell and more, well, you’ve never heard the Doubtful Sounds sing them! High energy musical director Bryan Crump, of RNZ fame, leads the choir in original a cappella arrangements of pop songs from New Zealand and the world.
Doubtful Sounds won silver in the Pop Ensembles category at The World Choir Games in 2024, but they haven’t performed in Wellington for some time. The drought is over and you can see them in concert at 6.30pm on Saturday 8 November 2025 at Vogelmorn Upstairs in Brooklyn.
Come early to eat, stay on after the show to have a drink with the choir. The Upstairs Bar and Smoked and Pickled Restaurant will be open from 3pm, to book a table for pre-show kai email Alice at smokednpickled@gmail.com
Vogelmorn Upstairs is not a wheelchair accessible building. This is an all ages venue but those under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a designated adult after 8pm.
The Vogelmorn Precinct is a community space located in a residential area. With that in mind, the team ask that you be kind to others' and that when you leave the gig, you do so quietly to avoid disturbing our neighbours.
