Down Under to Edinburgh: An Aussie Music Quiz Night Fundraiser

'Down Under: The Songs that Shaped Australia' (formerly Mixtape Australia) is heading to Edinburgh in August after winning the House of Oz Purse Prize at the 2024 Adelaide Fringe. The prize includes return flights and accommodation for 4 members of our 6 piece band as well as some PR assistance and venue hire. We are fundraising to cover flights and accommodation for our other two band members and anything extra will go towards livings costs for the band - it's pretty expensive to live in Edinburgh for a month!
Musical director and co-writer, Aaron Nash, has put together an Aussie Music Quiz Night where you'll have the opportunity to win great prizes, test your knowledge and enjoy some good old fashioned competition with a room of fellow Aussie Music lovers. With live music performed by the original Mixtape Australia band, including multi-award-winning performer Michelle Pearson, this is where RocKwiz meets the Great Aussie Songbook!
Details:
Thursday 27 June, 6:30pm for a 7pm start. We expect to be finished by 9:30pm.
The Wheatsheaf Hotel - 39 George Street, Thebarton.
$25 per ticket + booking fee. $30 at the door if tickets are still available.
Teams of 4 to 6 people. If you want to attend but don’t have a group of 4 to 6 people please get in touch as we can possibly add you to a group. Please email info@werallycreative.com
You can bring your own supper or you can enjoy food from the visiting food truck. Drinks can be purchased from the bar.
All funds raised at the quiz night go directly to our Edinburgh project. We greatly appreciate your support and generosity. Stay tuned for more information on prizes!
