Join the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) for our Market Development Workshops. Across 1.5 days, participants will gain valuable insight into how to navigate export markets and learn how to perfect their pitch for domestic and international markets.
We will kick off with the Beyond Borders: Export Focus workshop on day one, followed by the Pitch Perfect half-day workshop on day two. Participants are welcome to register for both workshops or can attend just one of the days. Find out more about each workshop below.
Beyond Borders: Export Focus workshop
Day 1: Wednesday 24th September | 9am - 4pm | The Hub, Bentley
Join DPIRD for a full-day, in-person Export Workshop to prepare WA companies for international market expansion. This session will equip participants with the knowledge, strategies, and practical tools needed to identify, enter and grow within priority export markets. As part of this workshop, Export Connect will incorporate video interviews with experienced Australian exporters on a per-topic basis, providing current and relevant case studies, as well as, where possible, interviews with buyers and/or WA trade and investment commissioners in relevant markets.
Export workshop participants will receive workshop slides with sections for notes, and additional resources and handbooks/worksheets in hard copy and digital formats.

Pitch Perfect: Domestic & International Markets workshop
Day 2: Thursday 25th September | 9am - 1pm | The Hub, Bentley
Join DPIRD for an informative half-day workshop designed to boost your confidence and sharpen your pitch skills. Whether you're focusing on the domestic or international market, this workshop will equip you with essential tools and insights to speak the buyers' language and anticipate their questions.
This in-person workshop will help you prepare thoroughly for the upcoming Meet the Buyer™ trade show exhibition, presented by the Buy West Eat Best program and upcoming international trade shows, teaching you how to be organised, professional, and sales pitch ready.
