1800 Lasagne x Gowings presented by QT

In a Sydney first, Melbourne’s cult 1800 Lasagne is coming to town in a one-night-only residency at QT’s signature restaurant, Gowings. 1800 Lasagne’s Joey Kellock will work the pans with QT Sydney’s Creative Culinary Director, Sean Connolly, to bring together a night that’s part fun Italiano-Melbourne, part sexy New York steakhouse vibes.

1800 Lasagne is Melbourne’s first hatted lasagne restaurant, which started as a lasagne delivery service from Joey’s ’91 Holden Barina. The home-delivered lasagne gained a cult following during lockdown, and last year Joey opened the bricks-and-mortar space in Victoria’s Thornbury. It’s been booked out ever since.

Adding to the Italian-centric vibes of the evening, Campari cocktails will be served on the night along with beautiful big reds to match the Lasagne course from Gowings’ impressive cellar.

The event will also include Sydney artist Mikey Freedom who has been commissioned to design an artwork for the occasion. Food lovers will be familiar with Mikey’s work featured in some of Sydney’s favourite restaurants including Bastardo, Topikos, and Shell House. Mikey’s design from the artwork will be replicated across the event, including the menu design, so that everyone will experience a piece of artistic interpretation of the event.

This event is strictly 18+. Attendees must carry with them valid photo ID as proof of age and will be required to present this upon entry.

A Humanitix ticket administration fee of 2% per transaction + $1.50 per ticket, will be payable on each booking (inclusive of GST). This will be displayed as ‘booking fee’ upon checkout.
