Draft Society Writers Day
The Draft Society Writing Day | Brisbane
Grab your WIP, your laptop (or notebook!) and come spend a few hours writing with us.
The Draft Society Writing Days are a relaxed space for writers to get out of the house, meet other writers and actually make some progress on whatever they're working on.
We'll start the day with a quick introduction and goal setting, then settle in for a mix of writing sprints, breaks and plenty of bookish chats along the way.
Whether you're drafting, editing, plotting, working on author admin or staring at a blank document hoping inspiration eventually strikes, you're welcome.
You don't need to be published, have a finished manuscript or even know exactly what you're doing. If you write, you belong here.
What to bring:
Your laptop, notebook or whatever you like to write with, plus your current WIP.
Tickets are $5 to help cover the cost of hosting the day.
Spaces are limited for our first Writing Day, so make sure you grab your spot.
We can't wait to write with you!
Who are we?
The Draft Society is a community created by writers, for writers.
We're a welcoming space for authors and aspiring writers to connect, share the highs and lows of writing, find accountability, celebrate each other's wins and feel a little less alone while creating stories.
Whether you're working on your first ever manuscript or you're a published author with several books behind you, there's a place for you here.
Our Writing Days are just one way we're bringing that community off the screen and into real life.
Tickets for good, not greed Humanitix dedicates 100% of profits from booking fees to charity
