Drama and Vocal Worlshops Ages 10 and Under

18-year-old ex-homeschooler, Hannah-Jade Keppler, along with fellow NCT Senior, Declan Scott, are running Drama and Vocal workshops.

With the younger age group, this award-winning duo will look at areas such as theatre games, improv through skits and games; simple characterisation using well known characters and character tropes and how to sustain audience belief in a character, how to understand a character and portray a character in a believable way; integration of simple props into a scene will also be shown; voice projections and vocal work using instruments such as keyboards, guitars and ukeleles. Attendees will be given a taster of what it takes to get on a stage and perform. 

ABOUT THE FACILITATORS: Hannah-Jade has been performing on stage, TV and film since she was 7-years-old. In that time, she has won numerous awards locally and nationally including Best Actress at Youthfest. She has also won awards in directing, writing and songwriting. She currently has written a musical version of Romeo and Juliet which is being sponsored by the City of Canning. Declan is a relative newcomer, only entering the acting scene as a teenager. In that time, he too has received a number of local and national awards. Together they have shared the stage and screen on many occasions, including playing the title characters in Romeo and Juliet, and also run the NCT Youth Drama Homeschool group.
