Event description

Improv is one of the most powerful (and fun!) ways for kids to learn how to express themselves, connect with others, and build the kind of confidence that carries into all areas of life.

In Drama for Life, our 8-week after-school course, kids aged 8–12 get into theatre games and creative play designed to spark imagination and strengthen key life skills. While they’re creating characters, telling stories, and making things up on the spot, they’re also learning how to:️
- speak clearly in a group️
-think on their feet️
- adapt to new situations️
- solve problems creatively️
- collaborate without taking over️
- support their peers

In our class, kids are given a safe space to try bold ideas, make mistakes, and discover that their voice matters. Whether your child is a budding performer or simply wants to feel more confident socially, improv gives them tools they can carry for life.

It's fun. It’s empowering. And it builds skills they’ll use in the classroom, the playground and in their future careers.

The class is run by Improv Taranaki and is facilitated by Franzi Maciej. With a passion for improvisation, drama, and education, Franzi brings a wealth of teaching experience from kindergartens, primary schools, museums, and theatres across Germany, the USA, and New Zealand. Her enthusiasm and playfulness create a warm and inclusive space. fostering strong relationships and building rapport with children quickly, making everyone feel welcomed and valued.

Spots are limited—register now, or get in touch if you have any questions. We’d love to welcome your young creative to the group.
