DramatiKids Term 2 2024
Event description
Do you have a Dramatic Kid in your life who is very theatrical? DramatiKids is for them ! Or a kid who is creative and imaginative and loves to fully embody stories, or maybe a kid who creates wild and wonderful characters? Well this is the workshop for them! This is a year program and Term 1 is skills development through play and improvisation, playing with all the elements of drama.
There are two sessions: 5-8 year olds are at 4-4.50 pm and 9+ year olds 5-6.15 pm.
It is a wholistic learning journey acknowledging the complexity of all aspects of self, mind, body, voice, expression and story. As the year progresses we move from improvisation to script-based performance. Play with new ideas, create new stories to help interpret the complex and wonderful world we live in. We use character building, physical theatre, song, dance, costume and props and creative play. We also have lots of fun with other DramatiKids while creating fascinating and dynamic performances. Week 10 is always Show Day and you are invited to be our audience!
