DramFest 2027
Description
Whisky Galore's DramFest 2027
We look forward to welcoming you to DramFest 2027, New Zealand's largest whisky education and tasting festival. Our special 10th anniversary festival will take place over 3 days at the Te Pae Christchurch Convention and Exhibition Centre from Friday 12th March to Sunday the 14th of March (1pm-6pm each day) 2027.
We will have over 350 whiskies and dark spirits available to sample over the weekend from an array of world-renowned distilleries and independent bottlers. DramFest also provides a unique opportunity to meet with overseas and local whisky experts including distillers, owners and brand ambassadors attending the event - these visiting experts are for many the highlight of the event, offering the chance to interact with those who are directly involved with the creation, selection and promotion of some of the whiskies on offer.
Within in the Main Event you can:
- Sample a wide range of whiskies and dark spirits from around the globe
- Chat with special guests who are directly involved with the creation of many of the spirits on show
- Enjoy the DramFest Forums, hosted by whisky legend, Dave Broom
- Visit the Collectors Corner where you can sample some old rare and intriguing whiskies
- Watch how a whisky cask is made in real time by a professional cooper
- Enjoy some trad music from local musicians
Your Main Event ticket will include:
- a DramFest etched Glencairn whisky nosing glass, lanyard, pen and official event programme
- a range of whisky and dark spirit samples
- the opportunity to attend the DramFest Spirit Forums
IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE:
- Tickets are valid for one day. To attend multiple days, additional tickets must be purchased.
- Please note that by purchasing a ticket to this event, you are adhering to the ticket T&C's as outlined on the DramFest website.
We look forward to welcoming you to DramFest 2027!

How does Ticket Registration work?
Register through the link at the top of the page from 8pm on Wednesday the 14th October. This pre-sale registration will only be available for 24 hours and it is ‘first in best dressed’ so we recommend registering as early as possible to give yourself the best chance of securing tickets (please note that registering is not a purchase).
Choose the tickets you want, fill in your personal details and hit ‘register’. By doing this, you are joining a waitlist to be notified of a ticket offer.
After that there's nothing to do but watch your inbox (that includes your junk folder!). All offers depend on what's available at the time, so you may be offered all, some, or none of what you asked for depending on your place in the queue.
Ticket offers will start being sent in order of registration on Friday the 16th October. Once a ticket offer has been sent your email, you will have 24 hours to complete your ticket purchase.
Easy as! But if you do have questions, scroll down to read our ticketing FAQ's.

- Does Registering guarantee me a ticket?
No. Registering puts you in the queue for a ticket. You may receive all, some, or none of what you requested. Allocations are pre-set to the preference you entered and are only reduced if there isn't capacity in that ticket type, so you can't choose to accept only part of an offer.
- How many tickets can I register for?
Up to 4 of each Main Event day (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) per registration, with a named attendee for each, matching the ID they'll present at the gate.
- Do I have to enter my card details?
No, you will be prompted to fill out your card details upon receiving and accepting an offer of tickets.
- How and when will I find out if I've been successful?
Ticket offers will start being sent in order of registration, on Friday the 16th October. Once a ticket offer has been sent your email, you will have 24 hours to complete your ticket purchase. You'll get an email with a link, stating the exact date and time it expires.
- What if I'm only offered some of the tickets I asked for?
That happens when there isn't enough capacity in that ticket type to fill your whole request. You'll be offered what's available and stay in the queue for the rest. Offers can't be partially accepted, so either take the full allocation offered or let it expire.
- What happens if I don't pay in time?
Your allocation is released to the next person, and your registration is marked 'Expired'.
You can still receive future offers, but you'll need to reactivate first: open your confirmation email, select Manage Registration, then 'Reactivate' at the top of the page.
- Can I change or cancel my registration?
Change it any time before an offer is issued, including ticket types, quantities, attendee names, contact details and payment preference, via Manage Registration. Once an offer has been issued nothing can be changed. If you've already received part of your tickets you'll need to cancel and re-register instead, which is final and puts you back in at the point you re-register.
- I can't find my registration email.
Search your inbox for "Humanitix" or "DramFest", and check your junk, spam and deleted folders. Still nothing? Email info@dramfest.co.nz and we'll help you find it.
Ticket ReSale
Humanitix is our only approved resale provider. Tickets bought or sold anywhere else can't be validated and may be refused at the gate.
****Ticket Resale will be enabled in early 2027****
Buying: Resale tickets will appear on the Resale page when it is enablesd in early 2027. They move fast and there's no queue, so keep checking.
Selling: Open your order confirmation email, select Manage Order, then the Resale tab.
Ticket Resale FAQs
- Where can I buy or sell a resale ticket?
Humanitix is the approved resale provider for DramFest. All resale must be actioned through your Humanitix order. Publicly resold tickets will appear via the Humanitix site in early 2027. We can't confirm the validity of any ticket exchanged outside Humanitix resale, and a mismatched name at the gate may mean entry is refused.
- How do I resell a ticket, or transfer it to someone else?
When Resale becomes available, simply open your order confirmation email and select Manage Order, go to the Resale tab, select Sell Tickets, then choose private or public resale.
Private resale gives you a unique link to share with the person attending; they enter their details and the ticket transfers to them.
Your original ticket is cancelled and refunded minus the booking fee. There's no separate transfer fee, though the new holder pays a booking fee on their new order, as all resales do.
- Who goes on the resale waitlist?
If you registered for DramFest tickets and missed out: you're added automatically to the waitlist.
If you have been partially successful, you stay on for whatever's still outstanding.
If you didn't register at all, you can join the waitlist via the DramFest page on Humanitix.
- Will joining the waitlist get me tickets?
Not necessarily. Tickets are only offered when other buyers resell theirs through official Humanitix resale, in registration order and subject to availability, so register as early as you can.
Resale opens [insert date], [insert time].
- Can I change my preferences, or leave the waitlist?
Change them any time before an offer is issued, through 'Manage Registration'. If you've already been offered part of your tickets, cancel and re-register instead.
Already sorted? Please cancel so your place goes to someone else.
