Draught-proofing your home

As we move into the season of cooler weather join us for a workshop exploring how we can make our homes more comfortable and more energy efficient. We’ll be looking at simple, budget-friendly fixes and effective temporary modifications alongside more substantial retro-fitting options making this workshop suitable for both homeowners and renters.

In particular we’ll discuss:

• locating draughts and fixing gaps

• installing window and door seals,

• minimising the circulation of cold air inside the home,

• choosing appropriate window coverings

• external modifications to the home to increase eco-efficiency

• assessing insulation options

• maintaining adequate ventilation to prevent mould build-up
