Drawing Evenings with John Pusateri

'Drawing Evenings' is a programme facilitated by artist and Whangārei Art Museum Educator John Pusateri, with sessions running from every Wednesday evening from the 26th of August to the 28th of October, 5.30pm -7.30pm.

This is a great opportunity for those curious about different elements of drawing, or anyone looking to deepen their artistic practice, with plenty of guidance and time to experiment with new concepts. 

Flexibly designed to be booked individually or as a discounted bundle of 5 or 10 classes, the sessions will guide you through a range of drawing approaches—from the fundamentals of observational drawing to playful, deconstructed drawing experiments. 

All materials are provided, and each session will include light refreshments, creating an inclusive, social environment to learn and develop your drawing skills.  

The classes are suitable for adults and mature young adults wanting to start or expand their art practice.
No prior experience is required. 

'Drawing Evenings' is designed to complement Whangārei Art Museum’s current exhibition 'A Drawing for a Group Show', which includes drawings by 156 contemporary New Zealand artists.  The classes will be held within the exhibition space.
