DREAM POPPIES reunion show & vinyl launch, The Double Happiness and DJ Crazy Horse

Brisbane 90s indie guitar pop legends Dream Poppies make their long-awaited return to the live stage to mark the release of 'favourites', a best of compilation to be released on limited edition vinyl and streaming/download in November and playing limited one off reunion shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Coledale - where band members reside!

During the guitar drenched decade that was 1990s Brisbane, the Dream Poppies created their own brand of indie pop, being variously described as "saccharine piss-take power pop", "edgy loud/quiet girly guitar pop" and "catchy melodic fuzz pop". The band released 6 EPs and an album, performed around Australia, toured the USA (including a show at SXSW 97 and the legendary CBGBs), enjoyed Triple J high rotation and shared more major national/international bills than can be counted.

Sharing the bill will be much loved friends of the Brisbane music universe - the Double Happiness playing shoegaze songs about their city, the surf and spaghetti westerns and featuring Adele Pickvance on bass (Go Betweens, Dave Graney) and DJ Crazy Horse will spin tunes throughout the night!
