DREAM WITH US
Event description
Stopping Family Violence is proud to invite you to the official launch of Dream With Us — a groundbreaking framework for addressing Aboriginal Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence (FDSV) in community.
Funded by the Department of Social Services and the Department of Communities, Dream With Us has been developed by Stopping Family Violence team members Kyalie Moore and David Batty, in close collaboration with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs).
This important work champions the alignment of healing and behaviour change, ensuring that ACCOs are empowered to lead this work from within their own communities.
FDSV continues to have a profound and disproportionate impact on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across Australia. Addressing this deeply rooted issue requires more than conventional approaches — it demands culturally grounded, community-led solutions that honour the strength, knowledge, and resilience of First Nations peoples.
Dream With Us is committed to this vision, integrating Aboriginal healing practices with behaviour change strategies to support long-term wellbeing, healing, and community self-determination.
The launch will be an intimate and meaningful gathering, bringing together key Stopping Family Violence team members, participants completing their training earlier that day, and stakeholders from Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations who have contributed to this journey.
Join us as we celebrate the leadership, collaboration, and vision behind Dream With Us and hear from those who have shaped this important framework.
