Book Launch: Dreams - Forging My Own Path
Event description
Welcome to my Gratitude & Celebration Tour of my book, Dreams: Forging my Own Path.
I am the first Black, Gay, African - Australian to write their life story and share it with the world.
For those who don't know me, my name is Rugare Gomo, In 2001 I left Zimbabwe and came to Australia by myself with one suitcase, a backpack and about $300 when I was 16 years old for a better life.
Who is this book for? This book is for everyone:
1. If you have ever felt EXCLUDED, this book is for you;
2. If you have ever felt STUCK in a life situation you hate, this book is for you;
3. If you have ever felt NOT ENOUGH, this book is for you;
4. If you ever felt INVISIBLE, this book is for you; and

My book, Dreams: Forging my Own Path is my story of how I have navigated some of life hardest challenges:

- at 18 years old raising over $120K to study Arts & Law at Monash University
- coming out to my family where in my home country it is illegal to be gay
- becoming an Australian Qualified Lawyer and getting a job in a top tier law firm
- escaping toxic workplaces
- recovering from addiction
- navigating my personal and professional life as black gay migrant in a predominantly white society
- starting my own business and nearly becoming bankruptÂ
- finding my soulmate, the love of my life
- inventing myself as a High Performance Life & Business Coach, Author & Businessman
