Dress for Success NSW & ACT (Illawarra) Volunteer Information Session

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Dress for Success (Illawarra branch)

Every year Dress for Success NSW & ACT supports more than 3,000 women into employment across New South Wales. Our signature Styling service and suite of Career Support offerings aim to help women overcome bias and discrimination when entering or re-entering the workforce – at no cost to the women needing the services. Our services are delivered by hundreds of volunteers who make a real difference to the lives of women seeking employment.

Due to the inherent nature of the Dress for Success styling duties it is necessary, that the volunteer roles be filled by females only.

Attendance at one of our New Volunteer Information Sessions is a prerequisite to becoming a registered Volunteer with us.

Our volunteer shifts are usually held Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays between 9.45am - 1.15pm.  We also host events and attend referral agency venues at different dates and times.

The information session will cover the following topics:

• Who we are, what we do
• Our clients and stakeholders
• The volunteering roles and opportunities available
• What to expect as a Volunteer with Dress for Success Illawarra
• Tour of premises including our client styling and volunteer sorting areas

To assist our charity with administration costs we ask for a non-refundable, tax-deductible donation of $25 for your attendance at a Volunteer Information session.

All Information Sessions are held in person at Dress for Success, 2/210 Cowper Street, Warrawong.
