Event description

Dressing Deco - It's Not A Competition!

Join Art Deco enthusiasts Brian Scott and Julie Lord as they guide you through the key fashion trends of the 20s, 30s, and 40s, and show you how to achieve the Art Deco aesthetic using original and non-original clothing.

In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn to find the best pieces to create the look, including resources for finding later pieces, originals, and reproductions. You'll also discover the best accessories to add the finishing touch and which ones to avoid. With original, contemporary, and reproduction pieces to explore, you'll better understand how to put it all together.

Passionate about the Art Deco era and committee members of the Art Deco & Modernism Society of Australia, Brian and Julie have written countless articles about the period. With their expert guidance, you'll gain valuable insights into Art Deco fashion.

At the workshop, House of Arel and Deco by Lanny-Lou will showcase their Art Deco-inspired apparel, allowing you to apply what you've learned and complete your look. And if you find that special piece you can't resist, all items will be available for purchase on the day.

Don't miss this unique opportunity to learn from two Art Deco experts and take your fashion sense to the next level.
