Event description
Sharpen your own Metal and Wood drills!
This hands-on single session workshop will introduce members of the maker community to how to sharpen their own high speed steel drills used for drilling metal or wood.
Learning this skill can save money, save resources, make your drills last longer and most importantly make your jobs easier!!
This workshop covers sharpening by hand with the use of simple tools to get professional results. For some a little practise might be needed post workshop as this is an acquired skill.
IMPORTANT INFO:

Please note : smaller size drills (less than approximately 5mm diameter) get difficult to sharpen. This course doesn't cover masonry drills. Participants are encouraged to bring one or two larger size drills from home to practise on.
All sessions take place on-site at Makerspace Adelaide with small group sizes and direct instruction from an experienced metal-worker, cost is inclusive of all materials.
