DRIVEN BY HOPE: Stories of LGBTQ+ solidarity for International Overdose Awareness Day
Event description
ACON is hosting an afternoon of community story sharing, solidarity and connection at "DRIVEN BY HOPE: Stories of solidarity for international Overdose Awareness Day".
This event will feature LGBTQ+ community members, sharing their lived and living experience of substance use and overdose, alongside local harm reduction legends on some of the amazing work being done in the sector to combat overdose. We will traverse stories of grief, hope and resistance, honour those lost to overdose, and share ways we all can be involved and play a role in ending overdose.
This event is on level one and is accessible via a lift.
This event is supported by Surry Hills CDAT, and in collaboration with KRC, SWOP, and NUAA.
