Drum and Dance Workshops with Fred Nii Addo in West End

The power of African rhythm, the freedom of African dance.

AHEPA Hall Saturday June 17th

Open to everybody and anybody, you need only the willingness to learn and desire to expand.

Complete beginners are welcome.

Fred Nii Addo is a master dancer, drummer and multi-instrumentalist from Ghana, West Africa & currently resides in Torquay, Victoria. He has toured widely, sharing his vibrant passion for music and dance from Ghana to Egypt, USA, Israel, Sweden, New Zealand and Australia.

Fred is also frontman for well known Victorian based Afro-fusion band, 'One Spirit Africa', regulars around Victoria's gig scene.

Fred Nii Addo is such an exciting high-energy teacher & performer! Let's play!

TRADITIONAL DANCE
Trad West African dance with live music
All levels welcome

DOUNDOUN DANCE
Combining low impact rhythmic movement with stick drumming ... lots of fun!
All fitness levels.

DRUMMING WORKSHOP
We will do a warm-up before the official start of the class, then Fred will teach us a groovy Ghanaian drum rhythm.
All levels welcome!

Supported by Elliott Orr of Talkin' the Drum and Spankinhide, plus other talented drummers, these won't just be a couple of workshops. This will be a day of full power experience.

What a way to bring a little rhythm into your life, or get your dance groove on!

No experience required to participate.

Plenty of djembes available. But for the doundoun dance, bookings are essential to secure a doudoun.
