Event description

A cajón (Spanish: [kaˈxon] ka-KHON; "box, crate, drawer") is a box-shaped percussion instrument originally from Peru, played by slapping the front or rear faces (generally thin plywood) with the hands, fingers, or sometimes implements such as brushes, mallets, or sticks.

Join the Drum Up Crew workshop to build a cajón (box) drum
Craft a custom crafted, plywood, sound machine in one morning, ready to play by lunchtime.


No experience is necessary - just bring your energy. heart beat and the desire to share and play some rhythms with others.

All materials provided. Coffee and tea available.
Bring a lunch if you wish.
