Drumming and Song Workshop with Perla Aurs

In 1996 & 1997, Perla undertook an immersive study in Ghana, West Africa, learning traditional African drumming and dance at its cultural source. Since 2015, her work has expanded globally through the study of vocal cultures in the USA, India, and Brazil, deepening her understanding of rhythm, voice, and communal sound. Her musical journey has also led her to sing in sacred sites around the world, including the Pyramids of Egypt, the Taj Mahal, Machu Picchu, and cathedrals throughout Italy—experiences that continue to inform her grounded, culturally respectful, and transformative approach to rhythm and voice.
