DSCubed 2026 Kaggle Competition: Stock Market Prediction

DSCubed’s Kaggle Competition is back for 2026. This year’s theme is Stock Market Prediction, where you will build models to predict market movements and maximise portfolio returns.

We are also running a beginner-friendly workshop on Thursday 7 May before the main competition on Saturday 9 May, so you do not need to be a Kaggle expert to join. Come along to build practical machine learning skills, challenge yourself and compete for prizes.

You can participate solo or in a team of up to 2 people. Registration is free.

Competition: Saturday 9 May, 10am-3pm, Forum Theatre, Arts West Building

Competition day timeline:
10:00am–10:30am: Team registration
10:30am–11:00am: Welcome and dataset presentation
11:00am–2:00pm: Coding
2:00pm–2:30pm: Judging, food and networking
2:30pm: Winner announcement and closing ceremony

Prize pool: First place - $400 + IMC merch; Second place - $300 + IMC merch; Third place - $200 + IMC merch; Jane Street merch for all participants
